I've read a few books, have a minor understanding and lots of questions. To help understand what I shoudl focus on, my question is to create long term change with habits, what is a better approach? NLP or hypnosis?
Thanks,
Ryan

Ryan,
I think you will benefit from both approaches. NLP is a model of how we derive meaning from our experiences which leads to a series of techniques of discovery and transforming those meanings. Hypnosis is a tool. The two work together.

Hi Ryan,
re " I've read a few books, have a minor understanding and lots of questions. "
Hey, " questions " are excellent ! Keep generating more questions ... Know what's really Good about that ? It helps keep your mind Open, for greater Learning adventures :)
As you mingle with different groups of people, notice that, most often the older in years a person becomes, the more they have "Settled ... for answers & knowledge". - And really : some answers seem just really wise, don't they ? depending on alot of factors & variables - so, you don't wanna just discard any answers.
Yet, more often than not, the social-imprintings/brainwashings accepted by most people as " knowledge worth keeping " ends up being merely another limitation.
You asked : " To help understand what I shoudl focus on, my question is to create long term change with habits, what is a better approach? NLP or hypnosis? " Thanks, Ryan
Both are good approaches for what you are looking for.

Ryan,
Hypnosis is a tool.
NLP is a set of tools.
Both are powerful once you learn to use them well
