Aloha,

Does anyone have an experience working with the Huna symbols that they would like to share?

I use the symbols in my daily life. There are so many benefits, especially when I need a boost of energy, or clearing out old energies, and for severe weather conditions.

The symbols used to be something outside of myself (perceived), but now they are an integration of the original hawaiian energy and my own.

Hey Susan,
I came across the huna symbols a few months ago at ancienthuna.com and even though im not attuned to them, it says there i can still use them on myself.

So yeah, ive been doing that. Its really surprising that they still work when im not even attuned to them(it'l happen one day), makes me wonder what language does to people aye?

Theyve been really helpful with my training, and just everyday when i need to clear out "a lack of passion".

Susan, do you have a recommendation for a good starting point for learning Huna? A book to suggest, perhaps? I'd like to know more! :)

Hi Connie,

I recommend Huna.com. I have been attending Huna going on Four years and love it! The website does a really good job of explaining the program offered 2x a year.

Books: I also recommend Max Freedom Long, and I like Serge King because he also brings in a shamanistic approach to the hawaiian spirituality.

Hi Phil,

I am glad to hear that you are getting the benefit from the symbols.

There are many in the spiritual community that hold judgement about people using Reiki symbols or shamanic journeying or other practices when they aren't "attuned".

I am a Reiki Master and was attuned in the Usui lineage. And, I am sure that there would be those that say I wasn't REALLY attuned because I wasn't attuned by only the "certain few" that actually hold the true lineage. Or that I am not REALLY journeying to other realms because I am not a REAL shamaness.

I personally think that type of thinking comes from arrogance and creates separation, limiting energy work to only a select few. Energy is everywhere and in everything.

I also attend Huna, and have received the symbols through initiations.

Is is better or more powerful to get attuned or initiated? I used to think I needed to be in Hawaii to receive the energy, then had one of the most powerful connections with Huna, in a training room in CA with Matt James!!

I think everyone is different and responds to energy differently. If you are getting what you need, then fantastic!! If you feel guided to get attuned and initiated, then Great!!

Good luck,

Susan

Thank you, Susan! I'll check out huna.com. Hawaii is another magical place on my list to visit someday.

Dr. Matt teaches Huna. You may wish to check the schedule to see if they do it in the 48 contiguous or you could have a fun little trip over to Hawaii.
