Hello everyone, I was looking at "PhotoReading" ( http://www.learningstrategies.com/PhotoReading/Home.html ) and it seems to be all about the subconscious. I was wondering if hypnosis could produce the same results?

Photoreading uses hypnosis.
They just don't call it hypnosis, probably so that they don't scare off potential customers. Hypnosis is still evil for many people.

what exactly do you get trained to do when you take their photoreading course?

no idea *s* but at least they have a nice reference list including McKenna (Does seminars with Bandler), Robbins and Blanchard. So if the price is right it might be worth a try *S*. At least the chance to buy Snake Oil is not too big.

hello,
you get trained on new methods of reading and how to maintain a light trance. Annie and i have dramatically improved on the course and offer an improved version which we call hypereading. that's not to say photoreading is bad, but there was noticable room for improvement.

Was just one of my bad sarcastic comments :-)
I know Paul Scheele does good stuff.
Have a great day

Steve,
I'm pretty familiar with the photoreading method.
What are the differences between photoreading and hyperreading please...
I may be interested in learning it from you.
Thanks
Paul

hello,
the primary difference of hypereading is the trance level. I teach trance much differently and deeper. it's been said that learning/recall is state dependant. we teach a more consistent state.
Do you then have to be in that "deeper" trance state for recall?

hello,
Yes. I teach them how to 'go into' the state in 15-20 seconds and remain there as long as they wish That way if they want to be there all day for school, football practice, swimming, or whatever, they can then come back if/when they choose
Steve,
You are saying state dependant and not at all context dependant?
thanks,

hello,
I would have thought context would be a bigger issue but i'm not finding it to be so. State seemes to be the significant factor.

hello,
addition: maybe context repeatability can enhance things even more. I don't know. I'll explore later. Right now i'm investigating doing arithmetic with DHE-style installed machines.
