Hi

I'm a trained TLT practitioner and mainly use tlt on myself.

I did a release of the major emotions at the beginning of the year and feel i need to release them again.

Howvere, when looking for the event, which disconnected would cause the emotion to disappear. Is the the 1st event or the one after that release eg, the more recent ones as the previous ones have gone that I should concentrate on. We didn't seem to cover that in my training about doing tlt on the same person more than once.
Any help would be great.

Michael,

It only takes a few seconds ... what happens if you do them all?

The procedure taught has the first event, which effects the later ones too.

But it has no effect on future events, only past-present (as taught).

but I would think it rather difficult to do TLT on oneself. Trancing in, trancing out, walking around, changing submodalities, trancing in and out more and more submodality work AGAIN, AGAIN, AGAIN AND maybe some good Parts Therapy AND future pacing? Exactly how does one do Parts Therapy on oneself when in trance? I'd be soooo in trance that I'd probably just lie right down and go to sleep as my mind would be soooo confused! This, of course would only take place after you have interviewed yourself for 6-8 hours, right? Not to mention that you have to know what you "learned" from that "event(s)". Don't you have a classmate or someone that can work WITH you on this?

Hi Michael

You must remember that the answer is in the question - which uses presuppositions to establish the only answer you need....

What is the root cause of this problem, the first event which, when disconnected, will cause the problem to disappear ...........

Whether it is an event after the last time you released an emotion is to some extent irrelevant. It is the point in time that you need to address the emotion relating to the current problem. This may be a different gestalt of whichever emotion it relates to ..... and again - just take whatever comes up and work with that as the relevant point in time.

Perhaps your thinking about this is your conscious mind working overtime!

I would also agree with Poodle's comment on finding someone to work with you on it, since whilst it is possible to use it on yourself and practising this is good to do, it can sometimes perhaps be worthwhile to have someone you trained with run through it with you, if that is feasible.

In short - if you test and future pace afterwards - you will know if you have found the right event, because the emotion will have disappeared, now! Don't they ......
