Found an interesting article in Todays Globe and Mail I thought the group be interested in:

<URL deleted>

Teens are hypnotized to recreate a situation where there a drunk driver and end up killing someone. Interested in the groups thoughts if this is a wise practice etc.

First of all, never believe whole cloth anything you read in a newspaper, they are rarely news, and frequently eroneous or incomplete.....
Secondly, what are the circumstances for which this treatment is applied? I have never found it nescessary to give a negative suggestion, but that doesn't mean that I wouldn't under the right circumstances. Terry

Solaris,

We occasionally have someone post saying, "Really cool website ... " or "what do you think of this ...", with a url, purely as a 'come on' to promote their website. That is something we dont want here.

That is what this seemed like to me.

Instead of deleting the post entirely, I thought if anyone wanted to discuss this, the question was open.

The idea of planting false memories, memories of traumatic events, such as described, is repugnant, and unethical. No doubt, it would open you to civil, and possible criminal penalties, and it should.

Nuff said?
