My first proper post so here goes

I know that most online hypnosis stores sell tapes todo with self-hypnosis but i have never found what im looking for, maybe someone here can point me in the right direction.

im looking for a tape, CD or MP3 that can be played in a CD player or similar of a person an induction and a deepening so that it will induce a deep state of trance and allow me to continue, i.e issuing stage show instructions etc

many thanks for people help and input

Don't know what your after but you can download a file called 'mindsync', for free:) , which allows you to make your own pink, white, brown noise etc. It is not overly user friendly i.e. you have to read the instructions - I've heard pink noise (i think? ) e.g. used in backgrounds for some hypnosis mp3's you can get. Might be useful to you? can be downloaded from http://www.nlpinfo.com/mindsync/index.shtml

Good question, smooth.

One of the important features of hypnosis is what comes after a person is in a trance. However, contrary to the movies and bad novels, just because a person is in a hypnotic trance does not mean he or she is going to do whatever anyone says.

Hypnotherapy works because the person being hypnotized has a relationship with the hypnotherapist. That relationship is identified by such things as respect and trust. If a person doesn't respect and trust a hypnotist, he or she is not going to easily accept suggstions. In fact, it is highly likely that he or she won't even go into even a shallow level of hypnosis.

So if you had a recording of someone that would put a person into a trance, assuming that they would even go into trance, they might not pay any attention to your instructions at all.

It seems to me that what you may be trying to do is get somebody to hypnotize another person for you, then you do what you might consider the "fun stuff," which you term "stage show instructions." If it were that easy, everyone would be doing it, no?

Respectfully, my suggestion would be for you to learn how to hypnotize. That way, you would be able to earn the trust and respect of the person(s) you're hypnotizing and they will be more likely to follow your suggestions. If you don't want to repeat the inductions live, make a recording of yourself and play it back to your subjects.

Oh, and one more thing. Unfortunately, hypnosis is not some sort of mechanical magic wand. There are different types of inductions which are effective for different people. What works for one person may not work for another. So one, uniform induction won't be effective much of the time.

How do you know which type of induction will work best for a particular person? Study.

How is it that stage hypnotists can use one induction and everyone goes under? Watch again. They don't all go under. Stage hypnotists will often send half or more of their "performers" back into the audience because they don't go under or seem unwilling to comply.

The induction is the *easy* part.
Might as well learn it.
