Hi all,

I'm looking at taking some NLP training and have come across this site that appears to offer NLP training on a home study basis, this would suit perfectly but am unsure. The main advantage mainly being able to go over the material again and again in order to really understand it.

www.nfnlp.com

Has anyone had any experience of this organisations, its courses, or know much about Dr. William D.Horton, its founder?

All views/opinions appreciated.

they have a free E-zine which seems pretty good.... I've signed up for it to be emailed though never got a copy yet... but it may be monthly... the site seems to be a good information resource though... If you take the course I'd be interested in what you think of it.

I am very much in favor of any training or study a person can do. Even if a training or book isn't very good it's still possible to learn something, even if all you learn is that you already know something. So without commenting on the specific courses you mention, I'm certainly in favor of a person trying them and determining if they have value for you.

However, as I understand it, learning NLP from home study is sort of like learning brain surgery in home study. Respectfully, I would contend that getting an in-person training--where you get practice and feedback both from professionals and other students--is of inestimable value.

In short, I think that home study courses in NLP and Hypnotherapy make great additions to the training you do in person. Similarly, a doctor can learn a lot from books, but practice of brain surgery on a person under the watchful eye of an experienced surgeon, is vital.

Homework and in-person training are not replacements for each other, they complement each other.
