Big advantage for a doctor is their pre-established credibility for the patient. When a doctor tells you something is wrong with you i.e. gives his diagnosis, unless you have some reason to doubt his/her credibility or, unless, perhaps you are a doctor yourself who disagrees, chances are you will believe him or her. Trusting the Doctor is pretty much par for the course if you are a patient. Given this, the intitial trust will probably be there... still she would probably have to be as attentive as any other hypnotist regarding the credibility of the induction depending on how she induces the trance and depending on what kind of trance state she wants to develop. If she was a skilful hypnotist and/or NLPer probably she would be able to establish trust very quickly anyway... The advantage again is that she is already half to most of - if not all the way to having/getting rapport with the patient given her status in the care industry - Doctors are, generally speaking, perceived to be trustworthy individuals who care for their patients.
