How is NLP used for addictions?

Vey effectively my freind. ;)
Hello Guest and welcome,
I use NLP to get to the root cause of the reason why the person is using the substance of choice to the level that they feel that they have lost control.
I use language patterns and questioning to encourage them to reach concious awareness of where -in them- their dependency has stemmed from. I may use different techniques to address different attitudes and behaviours that they feel are instrumental in their life being different from what they want.
I then use Time Line Therapy (tm) to resolve and release limiting beliefs and decisions eg when I grow up I want to be just like my dad/mum etc. (this is only if they have identified that this is an issue for them.)
I then use Hypnosis to increase supportive emotions and behaviours that they may need when relating to their family afterwards. (families are often as dependent on the person displaying addictive behaviour as the person is dependent on the substance)
I hope that this helps.
Kim :)
