Hey everyone,

I know the best way to learn this stuff is in-depth training, but don't quite have the money for another training right now. Can anyone recommend resources (either online or text) on processes for quickly figuring out if people are mainly visual, auditory, or kinesthetic? With some it's quite obvious, others I have a bit of trouble...

I would guess that most NLP books will list examples of predecate words and phrases linked to the rep systems.
Learn them, then listen/watch for them

Zanther,

The best and easiest way is to listen to their conversation. Obviously visuals will use visual language, aduitories will use 'sound' language, and kinesthetics will use, feeling language.

Body posture is also a clue, up and straight is often visual.

Turned sleightly to the side, to "lend an ear better' can indicate auditory.

Down and slumped, kino.

Delivery rate of conversation, can also be a clue, visuals are generally faster, kinos slower.

Study the people around you.

BUT!!!!!!

Recognize that the dominant representational system is often context dependant.

Just about everyone goes auditory at a concert. And if you arent kino during sex, well too bad for you.

Hope that helps,
