Frank is a good friend of mine. He lives in Russia and is helping troubled teens. I miss him very much. He is so good with NLP that he doesnt have to think about it when implementing the skills of the art. It is all natural for him. For him to use NLP is like me turning on my signal for changing lanes in my car. I don't think about it, I just do it. He has conditioned himself to the point of becoming a "communication wizard". It's trully remarkable to see him at work. When I use NLP I have to think about what Im doing all the time. Mirroring, paceing and leading, anchors, etc are all given thought before any action is taken. How many people in this field do you know that can perform like that? Personaly, NLP leaves me up in my head to much.

I do have much respect for those who use it to help others

I suspect some of the 'seniors' ( Skip, Merlin, Don, etc ) on this bboard may have reached that stage.

With respect, unconscious competence is the 'only' way to use NLP or hypnosis.

Just as it is the only way to ride a bicycle, or walk, or drink a glass of water.

There is too much to attand to, to be able to do it, consciously, well.

BUT it isnt that hard to master.

If you cannot get someone to install the skill sets unconsciously, and that takes someone who not only has the skills down unconsciously, but knows how to do unconscious installation, then take one skill at a time, and work on it deliberately, consciously, until you notice that you are doing that skill without planning to, "you just did it."

Then go on to another skill and do the same. It will take some time and effort, I cannot tell you the thousands of pages of metaphors I wrote, or the pages of trance inductions I wrote, so that I wouldnt have to think about what I was going to say next, when with a client.

The whole point is to be able to operate on intent. You intend to accomplish this for the client. Your conscious is paying attention to whether or not you are accomplishing the task, while your unconscious handles all those little details.

You can do it, too.

It isnt genius or magic, it just seems that way.
